is how I have felt ALL week. I had a scratchy throat last Friday and it seemed to lessen up for a day or so. Unfortunately, Monday, my illness came back with vengeance!! I now have a cold that has stripped my voice and swollen my nasal passages so that I have to breath through my mouth. I thought I could tough it out and continue teaching, but after a day and a half of teaching w/o a voice, I gave in. I've taken 2 days off now and am hoping that my voice will fully return so that I can return to work on Friday.
The Dr. gave my wonderful drugs to counteract my cold, but I'm thinking I should have asked for some steroid shots too. But I didn't, so I'm stuck taking my daily prescriptions and sitting in as much silence as possible to save what little voice I have.
I'm off to take a shot of my meds.

First Timer
This is my first attempt at blogging. I'm not much of a journal writer and keeping others up to date on our experiences - so this will be a challenge for me! However, I plan to give it a shot.
Currently, Roger is in Michigan for the next few days on a business trip. This leaves Willow and me alone to go about our daily activities. He is a Logistics Management Specialist for the Government and loves what he does.
For those who don't know, I teach 6th grade at a Title 1 school this year. Every day I go to work, there is a new challenge I must face. I never know what to expect throughout the day so I am always on my toes.
Willow just turned 5 years old! She is still just as rambunctious as she was at 8 wks. Without children, she is the 2nd love of my life and I am thankful for her companionship when Roger is away.
